We had watermelon, coffee, and banana pancakes with chocolate. Not a bad way to start your day.
Then we headed to Tailor Shop #50 with a backpack of fabric and things for her to copy.
We were there almost two hours and $664 less, but they take Visa. Aeroplan points :)
Tomorrow we pick it all up. I ordered three skirts modified, 10 tops, 2 dresses, 3 jackets,1 pair of capris, and Bruce ordered a three piece suit, 2 pairs of shorts with zippers.
Then we moved on to the shoe shop. There we ordered one pair of dress shoes for Bruce and 4 pairs of low pumps for me and one pair of sandals. They take Visa too.
Then we went to Maryanne's souvenir shop. We bought a couple things to help start the new year off right. Another coffee pot for Vietnamese coffee and a pair of earrings.
After finding the instant teller, and annoying as it is, the max you can take out is $2 million dong. Of course each time there is a $5 fee. We stopped for lunch, we ordered 2 kinds of spring rolls. Awesome!
Then we were off to the bag place. I wanted my small bag that I bought in Mexico redone to fit my mini iPad etc. they take Visa too.
Finally, we hit the jewellery store and ordered a ring to be made for Bruce.
Time to go home for a rest and a cold beer.
Time to go and find the White Lotus for dinner. This place is special in that the proceeds go to help disadvantaged youth. Bruce finally got a steak- Aussie strip loin with potatoe skins loaded with sour cream, cheese, and chives as well as veggies. I had an almond crusted chicken breast with roasted potatoes and salad. Very good!
We took the long way home and are busy playing rummy.
