Dainty and Ahya are dressed up for Songkran festivities at school.
We even managed to pack two suitcases to go home.
So, tonight at five we are heading down to River City to go on a dinner cruise. The cruise is at 7:45 but traffic on a Friday night along with Songkran holiday makes it horrendous.
We made it there around 7:00 so had plenty of time to check things out. We boarded the boat and we had a nice table on the top deck. Soon we started to sail. The cruise goes down the river past the bridge and then it turns around and heads toward the pier. The temples, bridges, and many buildings are lit up and look amazing.
The buffet was also very good. They had spaghetti with several sauces. Also, fish patties with sweet and sour sauce. Chicken with Thai herbs. Papaya salad along with other salads. There was also beef in a peppercorn sauce. Yellow curry chicken, steamed shrimp, chees filled clams, French fries, mixed buttered veggies, mashed potatoes, steamed rice and a ride rice with raisins, Tom Yum soup. An assortment of sponge cake with various icings.
There was live entertainment on board so the night ended with dancing. We got home a little after 11:00 pm.
