Wednesday, April 1

We will be here until around 1.  Check out time is 11:00 but we can stay until 1 without paying more.
We got up and had a coffee outside our room

The breakfast is served at the French restaurant next door,  we were asked if we wanted eggs, bacon, and sausage. We chose omelettes.

Also, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, and salad stuff.

Then we decided to go check out the Sofitel property across the street. We did have to tell a white lie.  The guards wouldn't let us in. I'm asked if we could go in and have a drink. We agreed and let us sign in.  We couldn't find any place that serve drinks ... So we just took pics.

Amazing!

Sea shell wind chimes - thinking of Maribeth's
Before we went back to our roon, we stopped at a convenience store and bought a 5 L box of Aussie wine, more tanning lotion.

It is boiling out - a ten minute walk and we are soaked, I can wring out my hair!  This the beginning of the hot season. I don't remember it being this hot when we lived in Thailand.

We went looking for a place that does nail art. We didn't have any luck.... But more dripping sweat for us.  Back to the hotel for a beer.

I checked out and Bruce went to get a taxi, well he found a Tuk tuk taxi ...... It is a good 20 min drive to the Boathouse - a bargain at $300 baht.

We checked in and our room was ready even though it was only 1:30 and check in is at 3:00.
The room is very nice.... Pool side, bedroom upstairs, nice kitchen/dining/living room.

Bruce went for a beach walk and then we went into the pool for a while.

Dinner - fettuccine with Rago sauce and ham... Not bad!

Time to enjoy TV and play games on our gadgets.

Tuesday, March 31

We have 'moved' to an ordinary room in a great location.  Mind you it is around $70 a night and that includes breakfast.

Walking up to our hotel

This hotel, despite the mood smell, has good TV.  We watched Top Chef or something like that - we had seen it before , but hey, it was in English and not the news.

Around 5:30 we went for dinner.  The other night we went to Prime Steakhouse and we said we would come again.

Look at this awesome food and presentation.

Bruce had the Wagyu steak with peppercorn sauce, Caesar Salad, and corn on the cob.
His was amazing!

Black and White. Aussie tenderloin and pork loin on roasted veggies surrounded by potatoes and bacon wrapped beans with a red wine and bernaise sauce. Extremely delicious
Total cost $2075 baht $81 Canadian

Then we strolled and browsed.  I bought a card, some massage compresses, and a few chiffon  tops that can be worn several ways.

Massage time was next.  Bruce had an hour oil massage while I had the hour foot massage.

Then it was time to walk home and enjoy a glass of wine.

Monday, March 30

Up and at 'em!  8:00, our new wake up time.
Bruce made bacon and eggs while I caught up on the news at home.
Jillian and Dustin out for brunch with Pat and Don.

Next we called Janet.....

Bruce went for his beach stroll and I went for a swim.

Around 5:00 we took the bus to The Grand Market.

The sign for the Grand Market- too bad the wires cover it

We didn't find anything.

Even too big for me lol

Bruce bought 3 pieces of chicken- ate two and is planning to have the other tomorrow.

I had a chicken kebab.  Tasty.

Then we walked to Villa to buy a few things.

Caught the bus and home we came.
You know we are getting ready to come home- when we choose microwave popcorn for our snack.
Then crackers and cheese.  Finished off with a chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie while playing cards.
