Saturday, Feb. 28

Wow, the last day of February!  Time is flying.... Spring will be there soon LOL
Here it is spring, soon to be summer.

It is our last day in Hoi An.  We have finished all of our shopping here...so it is time to move on.

Today, will be a 'take it easy day'.  We are going to stay home until later this afternoon.
Bruce decided to go and get a two hour massage, cost $25.  We played a couple games of rummy and then decided around 3:30 to walk into the centre of old town.

We have two stops to make: pick Bruce's new wedding band and his souvenir tie from the clothing shop.

We brought the six diamonds from home... But they made the ring from a photo.
Amazing price. $81 Canadian

Bruce chose the silk and the sister  made him a souvenir tie, so sweet.

When we got there to pick it up they insisted on giving us two bags of Vietnamese coffee- one for us and one for Kim.  Sure hope we get back to visit them one day!

We may shop for a new suitcase... This morning we will see how things pack up.  The six pairs of shoes might cause us problems.  We did shop for a new carry-on.... $38 Canadian.

After we picked up Bruce's ring we went for supper.  We decided to try a restaurant that others had recommended.  One of them is across the street from the jewelry store. Perfect! Nit is called Mermaid.

Another one of Hoi An's specialty foods is the White Rose - a dumpling with shrimp in it.  I decided to order it an a papaya salad hold the spice.

They look like white roses.

Oh ya and a glass of red wine. Excellent!

Bruce ordered the bacon hamburger and asked to get cheese and mushrooms put on it.

He had water, he says he has a bad headache.  So, off we go home by taxi, less than $1.
