Good morning!

Dainty and Ahya are ready to go to school

We are having our morning coffee on the patio enjoying the cool breeze.

I just received an email from the elementary principal:

Mariette,

I just wanted to write you a quick note to let you know that we are still very interested in you as the librarian, however, I am still waiting for Sudha and Father to return from the USA as they are attending job fairs.  Thank you for all your time and I am hopeful for some good news in a few weeks or maybe even sooner.

Around noon Faye drove us to the pak soi to get a taxi to head downtown for the weekend.  It took about 40 min and that was using the expressway and traffic was light. Cost: $245 baht = $10

We checked in and were ungraded to a one bedroom suite :)

Then we decided to check out the area.  We walked a bit and went and had lunch.  Too hungry again , almost forgot to take pics. We had pork and cashews, chicken fried rice, and ribs.

Then we walked back to rest because we want to experience the nightlife tonight (stay up past 9).

We tried walking to a rooftop restaurant/bar but weren't sure where it was and the crowds were crazy on the sidewalks due to the zillion stalls selling things.  So we got a taxi.

Above 11 bar is awesome - 37 floors up, open air, great panoramic views of the city.  We had excellent drinks and great food.  I ordered the quinoa salad which was a mixed salad with some quinoa and a feta dressing- superb.  We also had gyozas and teriyaki chicken with a Peruvian sauce.

Quinoa salad was amazing!

Then we checked out the nightlife at Nana Plaza.  A whole lot of go-go dance bars.  We had a beer at one of them and went home.  We were home around 11, pretty late for us.
