Tally so far:

We have seen 2 rats running
2 families have asked if we would be in their photo with them
1 motorcycle get hit by a car
Given food to 2 street people
5 bats flying around at the Sailing Club last night
Bruce has had more than 10 massages so far
0 days of bad weather
3 bottles of Dalat wine
5 flights
Ripped off 1 time (paid 3X too much for young coconut )
2 mud baths
Had my nails done twice
4 foot massages for me (they do your whole body except back of legs and butt)!and you sit in a recliner instead of being on a massage table

Today is our last day in Nha Trang.  I am thinking it will be a slow day.
Visit the mud bath experience, pick up laundry, and just chill.  Our flight leaves at 8:00 a.m., so will be an early morning.

Crazy but true-

Our 3 nights here cost $374.00 Canadian
However, we also received free mud bath package at $700 000 dong X 3 plus free breakfast.
So, when you calculate that in.... The 3 nights cost us $114.00, not quite $40 a night.
Not bad for a 4 **** hotel, with very nice amenities and an ocean view.

We just got back from a little trip to the mart down the street.

I bought two San Miguel Light beer (my fav), for less than a dollar each.  The expensive items were the chocolate bars at 40 000 dong each, over 2.00 for each one).

Random street pics

Covers on the street to protect the leather from getting so hot

A place that will make bathing suits in 24 hrs

A lady hidden by her blow up animals

Beer house down the street, last night had good music -which means something mellow and maybe in English

Where are laundry place is- it is also a hair salon and massage place

We played a couple games of rummy and then it was time to hit the mud baths.

Sauna and steam room
Lounge chairs beside hot tubs

Hot tubs

Hydro foot massage... The jets spray up and the bottom is covered with River rocks... Feels good!

Entrance to showers after the mud bath- warm showers

This tree has about five cold showers in it

The various mud pools

Our mud pool with coconut ladle- 35 min soak, then shower, then sauna, then steam, then foot bath,
Then jacuzzi, then shower, change to silk robes, back to locker area to change

Bruce is off to get a quick massage, that means one hour in Asia. Then he will pick up our laundry.
Good on both accounts.

Next, we had a beer and then headed out for the traditional water puppet show.  I find this amazing.  The puppeteers have hip waders on, standing in water behind a bamboo screen.  They control the rod puppets while the story/music is performed.

After the show we walked to find a place to eat.  We walked by one place and this girl told us how good the western food was, so we said OK.  I ordered the chicken burger with banana and fresh mint, and Bruce ordered the VIP... Burger and the two beers were free. The presenentation was cool.  Both buns together, then a stick with a stick through it all. Bill $270 dong

I had read that they have aMazing gelato, Yep, tried the mint chip.

We got home and there is yet another Vietnamese free variety show on the stage where we can watch and definitely hear from our balcony.
