Saturday, Jan. 31 the party

What an awesome event!

The party started with the kids all changing into their princess clothes.  Then it was time for

Station #1- makeup.  The moms and friends did an amazing job making these little girls into models.  Then it was time for the hair- up dos for all.  Ahya even had a hair piece to add to her real hair..... So cute.  Then it was the nail station- nails painted and then glitter tattoos.  Finally, it was the crown station, each crown had to be bejewelled of course. A bindi was added to each girl's forehead for the final touch.

Now it was game time.

1.  The first activity was a fashion show.  The girls paraded around and posed.  The best group won a prize- but they all received $20 baht.

2.  Then they played pass the gift.  The music started and they passed around a gift.  When the music stopped the person holding the gift unwrapped one layer to reveal their prize.  This continued until everyone received at least one prize.

3.  Then they played statues.  When the music stopped they had to freeze, the last one to freeze was eliminated.  Last one won a prize.

4.  Then they played a game that started with wrapped candies on the floor.  Each girl had a set of chopsticks.  When the music started they had to use the chopsticks to put candies in their bags.  When the music stopped they could use their hands to put candy in their bags.

5.  Then it was time for the scavenger hunt.  Kinder eggs were hidden around the trees.  The one who found the most eggs won a prize.

Of course, while all this was going on.... The two cooks were constantly bringing out food.....
The adults could visit and watch..... There was room for about 50 people to sit on the bench around the perimeter.  It was a great place for a birthday party.

There is still one more game to play..... Which will have to wait until tomorrow.  They were ready to just run around and be kids.

We moved up to the second floor for dinner and the cutting of the cake.  Because we are up high, it is windy....too  windy to light the candles.  We sang Happy Birthday and the cake was cut....by now it was 8 pm., so the birthday party was, believe it or not, 7 hours long.
