Saturday, Feb. 7. Part 3

We started out for the Night Market around 5:30.  We had to catch the sky train ang go four stops.  Then we had to change lines and go another five stops. Finally, we caught a ferry across the river.

When we got off the ferry there was a guy handing out flyers.  It was for a Japanese restaurant, buy one beer get one free.  Good enough for us.  We found it and ordered the beer.  We also ordered chicken satay and garlic fried rice as well as gyozas.  While we were the waiter came and asked if we wanted salmon sushi, complimentary. Of course we said yes.  So the guy brought him four pieces and then came back with another three. He thought he had died and gone to heaven.  So our bill which turned out to be $515 baht was cheap, considering the salmon was worth that much!

We walked through the 100's of shops and the only thing I found was a scarf.  I plan on taking it to Vietnam and having them incorporate it into a jacket.

Around 8:30 we had had enough strolling so we waited for the ferry and did the return trip.
Pretty sticky from the heat, so had to have a cool shower.  Now it is time to eat the pineapple and watermelon we bought earlier as well as a special treat that I bought. These are betal leaves filled with coconut, ginger , red onion , peanuts , chili, and tamarind sauce. Mmmmm
