We slept in!  Went up for breakfast around 8:00.  We have seen many places here where you need to walk up to the top floor from the next highest.  This hotel's elevator goes to the 10th floor and then you must walk two sets of stairs to the 11th floor where the restaurant is.

Today was the first time I tasted passion fruit.

Quite good!

Then we actually watched a movie "the Devil Wears Prada". I know the world saw it years ago... But I have only watched two movies since I met Bruce.  The TV here has only a couple English channels, but it does have an English movie channel.  Btw, '50 Shades of Grey' is banned in Vietnam.  Thailand has an age restriction- you must be 20+.

Then we went back to the fabric store and I chose five more...pieces

She started at $400 000 per meter..... Lucky last night be remembered we paid $70 000 per meter.... We ended up at $60 000 per meter.

This last one is a whoopsie...oh well, at $120 000 dong, all is good.

They will make great Little jackets to go over tank tops.

Then we went to an outside bar one block from our hotel- nice music, a fan, great margaritas.

And food too.

I am back at the hotel, and you probably guessed it, Bruce is off looking for a massage for his legs.His   upper thighs are killing him after squatting and walking a couple 100 meters in the tunnels yesterday.

We decided to just take it easy and watch TV.  Discovery has Auction Hunters on tonight as well as some cool science shows.  The fireworks can be seen from our room so all is good.  We bought a bottle of Vietnamese wine so will ring in the New Year with a couple glasses. I also bought a bag of Rosemary chips for a snack.

Check the crowd of folks waiting- they starting congregating around 10:00.  The fireworks started exactly at midnight and went for fifteen minutes.  They were amazing..... Many right after one another.  My fav was a happy face.... There were about a dozen of them. They were not off the building we thought but near the park, so we could not see the low ones.
