Saturday, Feb. 21

We were up and had coffee on the balcony. We could see some people swimming in the ocean.  We got ready and went down for breakfast.  This is a big hotel so breakfast is large and noisy.

Cereals, fruit, coffee, tea.... Cream and condensed milk available for coffee

Vietnamese dishes.... Cold cuts

Egg station

After eating we went and checked out the spa.  Our room includes a mud bath each day along with hydrotherapy massage, use of the sauna and steam room, and hydro foot massage. We booked for 1:30.  Then we went for a walk.  There is a wide malecon and then a linear park.

Our hotel's chairs

Art show

Outside gym

Sailing club during the day

Hostel $5 - a room with 6 people

French bread

Typical street cafe

We found a place that does Laundry for $30 000 a kg.  - less than $2

The sun is out .. Turquoise water

Must be Tom and Bonnie's hotel

After having a glass of wine and a few crackers and cheese we headed to the spa area. We enjoyed a mud bath for two, followed by a sauna, steam room, hydro foot therapy and then the hot tub.  We ordered a couple beer for the hot tub... Can't be too healthy.  It is a very nice area.  We will do it all again tomorrow so I will bring my camera.

After that it was rest time.  There was a guy playing a drum while another one did gymnastics or something for three hours.

We got ready and headed out to search for supper.  We found a place called 'Oscar's'.  It was very busy which is always a good sign.

Been pot Bruce's pick

Linguine with zucchini and shrimp- my pick

Much later he got his spinach and garlic

Total bill with a beer and water, around $18.

Then we continued walking towards the night market. There are lights everywhere.

There are dancers and Vietnamese music happening. Na couple more nights of partying to go.  The night market was really full of plastic stuff, mind you Bruce bought a bottle of wine.

Night market

We walked to the Sailing Club and paid the entrance fee of $200 000 which included a free whiskey (yuck).  I bought a large water.  This place is full of live bands etc. but by 9:00 nothing had started and we were yawning.  So we walked home.

Very nice place
